Who We Are
The shop is a brainchild of
Ruta Nõmmela and Madis Mikkor,
who are both active in the daily management of the bookshop. We handpick all the books ourselves and cooperate with several small publishing houses like Peirene Press, Vagabond Voices, Bloodaxe Books, Arc Publication, etc.
Ruta has studied Scandinavian Languages and Literature and worked as a translator for 15+ years.
Madis is a founder of several culture initiatives, among them the Estonian Printing Museum.
The bookshop is a celebration of their love for books, reading and
the written word.
