Who We Are
The NGO running the shop was founded in 2021 by Ruta Nõmmela and Madis Mikkor. Madis stepped down from the board in 2025.
We handpick all the books ourselves and cooperate with several small publishing houses like Peirene Press, Vagabond Voices, Bloodaxe Books, Arc Publication, etc.
The bookshop is a celebration of love for books, reading and
the written word.
The NGO is currently lead by Ruta Nõmmela who has a degree in Nordic Languages from the University of Stockholm. Ruta has also been working as a translator for 15+ years.
